A few of my tanks.
I decided I'd post up a few pictures of my tanks because I'm super excited about my purchases this weekend. I'm open to all opinions and ideas on how to make anything better. Hopefully everything is on the positive side! Here we go...
First off is my 2.5g bow used as my Endlers Livebearers "growout" tank. This was the only tank I had available when they were given to me. It works for now but would like to upgrade them to my 20g long.
Next is one of my purchases this weekend. Its a 20g long that came with a hood, light, brand new 150w heater, brand new Penguin 150 filter and a few odds and ends. This is my quarantine tank for my 20 Cardinal Tetras I just ordered for my 75g. They should be here on Wednesday. This will eventually become the Endlers tank with a few Guppys thrown in the mix. I don't have a plan just yet on the final setup.
This is my other purchase this weekend. Its a 30g that came with a hood, light, cast iron stand, brand new 200w heater, Penguin 200 filter, air pump, line and stones. This will stay empty for a few months until I finish my 75g and 20g long. This will hopefully be my tank for a breeding pair of German Blue Rams but thats about all I have planned for this tank as of now.
Finally my pride and joy! Its a 75g work in progress. I'm still waiting on some plants to come in, my new Fluval 406 filter, and fish. I just ordered 20 Cardinal Tetras 15 of which will be going in this tank after the quarantine period and a few weeks to get them all in the tank. Then I will be adding 6 Sterbai Corys followed by 5 Angelfish. The plants that are in there are showing growth already which has me pumped. This is my first ever planted tank and I'm doing alright thus far. You'll have to excuse the bubbles as I did a water change just before the picture was taken.
Nice! New tanks are always exciting to set up. Have fun with them and thanks for sharing.
Nice tank :D
Love the wood in the 75G.
Won't the angels eat the cardinal tetra?
From what I've read no. They should be fine. I was originally going to put Neons in there but apparently that's a no go. The Angels will eat the Neons not the Cardinal's. The Angels will only be about quarter size so hopefully everyone will leave each other alone.

Nice 75g! I'm jealous that everyone seems to find awesome driftwood but me.
Though I do agree that the Angels would eat the cardinals. I had an angel that would eat anything it wanted. Guppy's were a snack to it. The shape of the fish is what counts. I read a post by Byron a while back he suggest disk shaped tetra's rather than the shape cardinals and neons have.
nawilson89- I'm very picky about my driftwood. The stump looking piece took me a couple of months to find. I knew I wanted something that looked like a stump but had a hard time finding one. I prefer to buy the piece in person so I know the exact size. I actually purchased that piece while vacationing in North Carolina at a store called Last Place On Earth.
As for the Cardinals, I've read that if they are added before the Angels and the Angels are rather small, they should grow up and accept each other. If it were the other way around the Angels will harm almost anything you put in the tank because they've claimed there territory. Also a moderate to heavily planted tank will break up sight lines. Its more of a try it and see what happens type of thing.
Well i hope it works out for you. I'm not much of a cardinal fan anyway :3 i love black skirts and head and tail light tetra.
