Fish To Add To My 20 Gallon Tank
So I posted earlier about a 20 gallon tank. I am wanting to get some cool fish for it. I was thinking about getting a few cichlid fish, angelfish, and some puffers. I know the puffers will need SOME salt but will that salt kill the other fish or affect them? Will these fish be compatible with one another? What are some fish recommendations would you recommend me to get with my new 20 gallon tank?
Not even a single angelfish can be kept in a 20 gallon, sorry. Glad you got a larger tank!
Also, depending on the type of puffer, they may not need salt. There are 100% freshwater puffers, although I don't recommend them for you, as they can be a very tough fish to keep, especially about feeding. Some 20 gallon fish I can think of off the top of my head are Threadfin Rainbows and Harlequin Rasboras for soft/acidic water, or a group of small livebearers for hard water.
