I put in my dam 100 silver perch about 2 years ago. Recently we had some bad weather and the remaining adults died, but they must have spawned and now I have tousands of fingerling, which I have relocated approx. 150 to my other dam.
I am not about to go into farming them so I want advice on the most economical way of feeding and keeping what I have.
ie. cheap but healthy food ideas and what should I look for in water quality/treatment.
Any help would be most appreciated.
PS. Many thanks to Wagga Hatcheries for providing the original fish.
I would say about the most economical way to feed them would be trout chow. If there is a hatchery by you then you might be bale to buy some from them. Probably 25-100 lb. bags for $10-25. My trout/salmon hatchery has 50 pounds bags I can get for $17.
Another option would be to get bulk pond pellets for Koi or for other pond type fish.
