Is it bad to...

Would it be bad to put the water in the tank and then dechlorinate it and then put salt in instead of using a bucket?

I know they sell the Pythons so you can not have to carry water during changes however I always like to dechlorinate before I put the water in. Plus then I can double check to make sure the water going back into the tank is the right temp. My faucets seem a bit finicky and the water temp sometimes changes while I'm running it.

Well i am starting from scratch and was wondering if i could put the water in the tank then dechloinate it. Then add the salt?

If your starting with an empty tank sure you can do that. Most people do that when they fill their tank for the first time. You shouldn't once you have anything live in it though.
