i have to bumblebee platies (one m/one f) and to fire platies (one m/one f). when will they probally breed?
I do not have platies, but I think they are similar to guppies and mollies, which I do have. I just set up a new tank and within two weeks I had babies. They were most likely preganant when I got them from the pet store though, which is very possible for your platies as well. I also had a guppy tank a while back (about 25 fish total) that had been set up for a few years and I had babies in it every few months. Hope that helps you a little.
Platys are of the live-bearer fish group. so all you need to do is watch the females for gravid patch if it is turning darker she is pregnant from that point on it is a waiting game.:-D
