golden zebra danios thnx for the reply it was successful but now im moving on to breeding golden zebra danios and would like to now how to breed them |
|
there is one method I have found quite sucessful and that can be found on my website http://www.danios.odd-fish.net/DANIO...gBreeding.html since the site went live many people have told me of another method that works more often than not. and that method is as follows perform a gravel vac into a bucket. place a heater into the bucket and set at 26c. wait 24-36 hrs. if eggs were present you should see some fry clinging to the bucket walls, if not discard and try on the next gravel vac. if fry are found transfer them (via a turkey baster) to a raising tank around 10-15G and raise the temp to 28c. feed infusoria for the first week and then crushed flake and or BBS there after. |
Haha, I took my filter out one day and stuck it into a bucket of water no heater or anything. Didn't look when I put the filter back but a couple days later I look into the bucket and had some baby fish. I'll post a pic of the lone survivor as soon as it gets big enough to photograph (those things are TINY, a bring shrimp net can barely pick them up)..it seems to be growing well now, if you wanna breed them I suggest having a breeding net unless you have a breeder box with absolutely no way out. |
please don't put any egg laying fish in breeder boxes/nets, the stress will kill them. |
It's just the one baby in there. I don't really have another tank for it to go into (2.5 gallon is down right now, damn filter and I don't have the $$ to replace right now) and I'm pretty sure if it survived the filter this can't be a whole lot worse. |
