Help needed to take care of pair of Paradise fish
 

I have a pair of paradise fish together and they have always been peaceful together well today the male is going up to the female and nudging her I was hoping they would spawn but do not know if this is spawning or he is being agressive towards her any help would be great also I put a dark colored plastic bottle in the tank with a plant for her to go and hide if she wants too

What kind of tank are they in ? It's always a good idea to have plenty of floating plants in a gourami tank. They provide cover and the fish use them to anchor their bubble nests. Male Paradise Fish can be pretty nasty, so providing cover for the female is a good idea.

I put a dark green plastil vitamin bottle in the tank and a flaoting plants she is pretected from in and hiding under the bottle I am keepng an eye on them I have a half of a stryofoam cup in the tank he has bulit a bubble nest under the cup I an so nervous about this relationship lol

If you want to raise babies, keep an eye out for the male putting eggs in the bubble nest and guarding it. That's when you remove the female for her safety. When you see fry, take the male out. The new born eat infusoria. You can get that by letting a piece of lettuce wilt and then put it in a container of water. When the water gets cloudy, you have infusoria. Just pour some of it in the tank. This is the quick start version. Others on the site can provide much more pprecise info. Good luck.
