A noob with questions

Note: I'm not just getting rid of fish or anything but I would like some advice.

I posted this here because I could't find a Freshwater Fish Species and Compatibility > Angelfish Family forum. Lol.

38 Gallon Freshwater Aquarium

My angels(2) are being sort of aggresive toward my guppies and it's annoying me. They float near the top and then just nip their fins. I have 10 of the guppies so it's kinda a problem. Suggestions?

Couple random questions:

By rooting a plants, I just cover the roots with gravel and with room to grow, right?

F'n pond snails keep coming back in my tank, everytime I see one I put it in my 1 gallon fry tank(which holds 8 guppy fry.) Is there an easier way to get rid of these?

My Java Moss wont grow and keeps floating all around and keeps getting stuck to the filter, what can I do about this?

Thanks.

Angelfish are Cichlids for future reference.

The guppie problem kind of confuses me. Most Angelfish are usually decenlty peaceful. Is this a pair (male/female)? That could be your problem.

Rooting Plants = Yes.
Snails = Try adding a weighted down piece of lettuce in your tank overnight. It will attract most of the snails. Then dispose in the morning.
Java Moss = Try tying it down.

Angel fish will eat guppies. Some of my angel fish breeding friends actually condition their breeders using guppies.

How are you attatching your moss? I find that tieing it onto wood or decorations using fishing line is good because the fishing line doesn't disintegrate like cotton thread does.
