Any snail or bottom feeder that eats Oscar poop?

Hello everyone! I have this slight annoyance with my tiger oscar because he poops so much and it greatly contrasts with the color of my gravel, so i wanted to ask, is there some type of snail or bottom feeder that would eat the oscar's poop? i know the snail will poop too and contribute to the biological waste in the aquarium, but i just dont want to see huge clumps of oscar poop!

Nothing eats abd (already been digested) fish food. Some snails pick through it, but since you have to feed the snails, you'll end up with a net gain of detritus (aka waste, poop, shed skin, etc)

If poop builds up fast, your tank is to small. How big is your tank?

How often do you vacuum the gravel?

40 gallon tank. he's a 4 inch long oscar with a 4 inch long striped raphael catfish companion. I vaccum every week, but he eats like 20 of those medium hikari cichlid pellets and then poops it all out in a day.

What kind of filter? You usually need to overfilter tanks with predatory fish.
Is it possible you overfeed? I only feed my fish what they can eat in 2-3 minutes once per day, 6 days a week. I also feed them plant based foods once a week (Spinach blanched With garlic, rinsed, and added to the tank for 5-10 minutes and then remove excess), and bloodworms once a week. (both in addition to the staple)

I just noticed your screenname! I like it!

Glad to help kthxbai!

Well, keep up the vacuuming. Is it definitely poop, or could some of it be left over food ? Not saying you don't know s--- from shinola, just sayin. I used to feed my oscars those little frozen salad shrimp. They jumped all over them and it was easy to see whether they were eating everything. I fed them about three each every other day. There was still lots of poop though. If you could develop a strain of fish or snail that would eat poop, you'd have it made.

The filter is an aquaclear 110. I feed him only what he eats in about 40 seconds and im 100% sure its poop i see.
