I love my inverts. Gonna get a mate for my mystery snail (if my lfs lets me check for boys ;-)) and more Ghost Shrimp. I love my ghosties, but HATE their mortality rate! Are Cherries any better? What's a good price to give for them? Posted via Mobile Device
you can order them online. Red Cherry Shrimp is a good price. and yes rcs last longer then ghost shrimp. and they will also breed better as their offspring don't go into a larval stage like ghost shrimp do. they are also more peaceful.
yo thats a good price for 20 of them shipped! ive been looking for shrimp to add to my tank. i had ghost shrimp before but they kept getting stuck in the rocks and dying lol silly morons. i had 12 for about 2 months then when i was switching my tank over to a bigger one i found zero of them lol
Well if anyone gets a hold of EpicFish, please ask him/her to PM me or maybe contact me via email. I would love 20 or so, but wanting to wait until the winter weather is over. Also wanting to see if he/she will work with me on paymeant type. Sounds like a reputable breeder, so prepaying wouldn't bother me if it was needed. ;-) Posted via Mobile Device
i LOVE my shrimp. they are so awesome. i want to get some red and blue rili shrimp. they are cool looking. there are so many different ones that are so awesome. i am hoping to eventually try my hand at many types
Can all these shrimp be housed together? I know that Ghost Shrimp will eat the Red Cherry Shrimp, how about the Rili Shrimp with the Cherry's?
Welll I ordered some of the Red Cherry Shrimp to add to the 5 I already have. HOpe they come very very soon. I was all excited yesterday because I got a package and thought it was the shrimp but it turned out my sister just put my name down for some baby stuff and it was that. Darn! Looking forward to my new Shrimp in the tank. Seeing only 5 in there with no fish is sort of boring. It is a 25 gallon tank and it only has the 5 shrimp and a few Assassin snails.
He has since changed color, but I don't have a camera. XD (this was taken on my sister's cell several months ago)
I also have Tiger Snail in my large tank (El Tigre) and I have plans to add a few more different types.
I tried a black mystery snail with my Cray's tank... He killed and ate it within thirty minutes. XP (I was hoping it would just stay on the walls out of his reach. Nope.)
My Rosy Barbs are also a huge fan of snails. They tried to eat El Tigre when I first added him but gave up due to his size. However they do eat those little pest snails that I add to the tank. You guys, they are NOT food! :K
So I figured I should join in this thread because I've been bitten by the invert bug! About a week ago I ordered 10 RCS and have just fallen in love with them! They are mostly juveniles, but I can see two adult females with saddles!! Later on in the year I'm looking at converting one of my 10 gal tanks into a RCS colony!
I also have a strange fondness for my MTS and would like to get rabbit snails some day.
And I'm thinking about adding some ghost shrimp to the goldfish tank while they are still too small to eat them.
Omg yes! They are soooo funny! People just don't realize how much fun they are until they are in front of you. Neither did I until I had some myself. I HATED the fact that all the betta people said that a little betta tank could only hold shrimp or snails as tankmates. But now I know how fun they are and I love um! Posted via Mobile Device
I never knew how much fun shrimp were until I got them. I've almost always had snails, but they aren't nearly as active. They do their thing at a slow and steady pace; which is cool, but the shrimp are all over the place!
I'm excited to get a shrimp tank going in the spring!
Have they gone column surfing yet? It's what I call it when they just go swimming about in the middle of the water which just looks adorable! And then their's leapfrog! You HAVE to get them a Marimo Ball. You know that right? Posted via Mobile Device
