He found his way into a bag of julies as a tiny fry.
He is the size of N. multifaciatus, but still growing, has a gill spot, coloration on his dorsal fin and egg spots on his/her anal.

I was hoping that the same shape and finnage as N. multifaciatus would give him away.

Can you provide a clearer picture?

Thanks again!

could it be a Labidochromis textilis ?

cwmorrow 11-16-2012 07:35 PM

His stripes are rather like N. multifaciatus, but more broad.

Red topped Zebra cichlid. He's going back to the fish store.
