blood parrot and severum
will a severum and blood paroot cichild fight?
Re: blood parrot and severum
Severums are usually peaceful with most New World Cics when given proper space. So you should be fine.
hehe, i wouldnt say Mature blood parrots are peaceful, by mature i mean 8", i have never experienced a Blood parrot that didnt beat up on things, mine beat on my 7" flowerhorn.
the Bp will dominate the severum, having a mutated mouth doesnt stop them.
their is a reason people with flowerhorn keep Bp's with them, they can take and dish out quite the bite when they need to.
if the sev decides to defend himself, expect a beat up sev.
im not saying it wont work, their is a good chance it will work fine, but im warning you that Bp's can and will most likely become aggressive, and will dominate the severum if they are around the same length.
my severum is a little bigger than a quarter and the blood parrot is a little smaller than a elmers regular glue bottle. I could get the smaller one the size a little bigger than the quarter. which one should i get?
try to match their size identically if at all possible.
what size tank are these goin into??? that will decide whether they will fight or not.
they most likely will in anything less then a 5ft tank. though it is likely to work in a 4ft.
anything less then that you cant really even have a severum.
