WTK: How to breed arowanna?
 

Anyone know how to breed the arowannas? someone told me they cannot be breed...

To my knowledge, they have never been bred in an aquarium. I would think that it would take a HUGE tank. They are a pretty big fish.

Most Arowannas are wild caught. They have never been bred by the amatuer aquarist according to all reference material I have here. I do imagine that some suppliers have spawned them in large ponds/pools in areas like Thialand and Singapore. And I do think that they are much larger than 1000g.

I stand corrected. There has been one report of an aquarist spawning arowannas in a 600g tank. Either he was lucky or fate smile upon him, I think.

no matter if it has happened or not, its extremely unlikely you will breed arrowanas, rather than waste time and money you could just turn that big tank into a great looking predator tank or something.
