i'm buying coral soon and i don't have the proper lighting... could i buy cheaper lighting by buying the same lighting gardeners use for indoor plants. as long as the wottage is right i dont think it would matter.

it has to have the same intensity as normal reef lights. if you do some research on it you might find out something. compare the one you want to buy with the one of the better lights for reefing and if they are around the same it would work fine.

thanks, if you have ever seen the plant growing lights at a hard ware store the can be quit powerful, and much cheaper then the one's you will find at a pet store.
