Hello

Hi Guys,

Unfortunately I know nothing about aquarium fish or keeping them, in fact I have found this site after watching Finding Nemo with my 1 year old son, I googled a question and here I am... Unfortunately Google couldn't help me with the answer, so maybe you guys can help...

(Serious Question!)

Would it be possible for Marlin and Dori to breed?? I ask this question because I assume they became a couple after getting Nemo home, and I also assume that if they did breed, that would be some interesting looking fish :)

I apologize for this thread, not that I feel ashamed for posting it, but because it is probably completely unrelated to any other thread on this site

I look forward to hearing from you

Have a fab weekend

No, not possible for a Clownfish (Nemo) to mate with, breed with a Blue Tang (Dori)

Welcome to the site! Well I imagine it won't take long for you to end up at the LFS... Local Fish Store to see what we can get...

If you do, ask lots of questions, but go home and sleep on it, research it, think about it.... come here and talk/ask about it. What fish, how many, what does it need, what size tank? We have Tropical Fish Profiles in the blue band at the top left of the page and each species states numbers, diet, aggression, Min tank size for 1 fish let alone a small school of 3-5.
So many new tanks have fish deaths in the set up stage (6-8 weeks) and there are ways to shorten this time or prevent the deaths completely. But it takes some reading and not listening to LFS staff completely. lol. It's true sadly.
Looking forward to helping you on your journey!
