Nano Guppies and Fancy Guppies Greetings all, I just purchased a 6 gallon Fluval Edge tank. Thanks to another poster I have decided to make the tank a guppy tank with maybe a mystery snail. I plan to make this my first fully planted tank, black sand and rocks and drift wood, I want a clean sleek look. My question is will fancy guppies get a long with nano guppies ? :fish: I think both would look really nice together and make for a colorful tank. Thanks. |
What exactly do you mean by nano guppies? Are you talking about the Endler's Livebearer (Poecilia wingei) as opposed to the common Guppy (Poecilia reticulata)? Posted via Mobile Device |
Yes the Poecilia wingei. |
Not really advisable to keep Endler's and Guppies together as they can crossbreed. |
True, not recommended. Read more in our profile, click shaded name Endlers Livebearer, or scientific name Poecilia (Acanthophacelus) wingei. As noted in the profile, there is some thought that this fish should be removed from the same genus as the guppy. |
Thank you all for the information. I have decided to do an all fancy guppy tank. |
