two empty tanks what to do?
 

have my 10 gal. qt tank empty now. is there any thing i can keep in it to keep the filter system going. have some anacharis, water wisteria,malaysian driftwood in there. my 5 gal.has my 2 5 week old swordtail fry, 3 tiger nerite snails.( had 4 but can't find 1.) malaysian driftwood,anacharis,water wisteria,anubias nana,amazon sword-small not doing good in large tank,so i transplanted it. still experimenting with all my plants.what else can i put in the 5 gal.?:-?

All you need to do if you intend on using the tank anytime soon is feed it with a pinch of food occasionally, this will keep the bacteria alive.

QT tanks, if they have been used with medication at all, should be completely cleaned with a vinegar solution to remove totally any traces of medication.

no medication. just had swordtail fry.they are gone now.i was thinking about getting some ghost shrimp.
