how can i control the flow to much movement of water

got a emperor 400 plus a aqua clear 30 in a 29 gallon tank but i think its to much because its to much of a current movement in the water any help/ ideas?

You could baffle the filter by either putting a sponge around the output or with a plastic bottle. If you google "DIY Filter Baffle" you'll get a ton of info on that. Baffling doesn't necessarily change the output of the filter, but it will redirect the flow to the sides with much less force.

First, why two filters in so relatively-small a tank?
