Getting ready to change my water..have a question !
 
Hi guys, I asked the people at the pet store and got two different answers so I thought I would ask those who know..

I have a 33 gallon and I'm going to do a 30% water change...it's only been about 3 weeks since I changed the water but I'm getting a very faint smell so figured it was time again..my question !
I'm using tap water so I need to condition the water I'm adding.. I have a bottle of Aqua plus 1 capful treats 10 gal ) OK....since I'm oly doing a 30 % water change do I not add 3 capfuls to the 33 gal tank ?? How much conditioner should I be adding ?

Id go with a capful and maybe a half 2 to be safe. (i have 10 gallons so its easy) Also, Prime is what i use because 2 drops (literally) treats 1 gallon of water for .8 ppm ammonia and everything else

If im reading what you mean your doing a 30% for a 33 g tank you would be adding 10 g so wouldnt you just need 1 cap full for the 10g your going to be adding. You should treat the water you are going to add b4 you put that water in the tank. Also you should try to warm up the 10g so it woulnt be such a shock to your fish.
