Please help SERA ARTEMIA MIX
Good day! to all of you. Yesterday I went to a local petshop and bought SERA ARTEMIA MIX 18 grams. The direction says mix them into a 500 ml of tap water and thats it. I asked the petshops after these artemia hatch, how long will they survive in the aquarium? Unfortunately they do not know what is the lifespan. Please help me what is the lifespan of these brine shrimps/artemias from SERA company when hatched? Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for informations. thank you very much
I first must apologize for the length of time since this was posted. We normally try to answer posts much faster than this.
I have never used the SERA brand. But, I have used San Francisco Bay Brand. Both companies, I know, offer a "hatching mix" where you just add water and aeation and go. But, you must add areation. This may or may not have been conveyed buy your lfs.
They will begin hatching in 48-72 hours if the correct conditions are met. As to how long they will last, my guess is about 3 days. I have my "sun tea" jars set up to a 5 day cycle. I feed ALOT of brineys. I use about 3-4 sun tea jars a day. So, as you can see, my brineys never last very long and surely not three days.
