At Petsmart they had an onion plant for sale in their aquatic plants section. It was just labeled as onion plant... and it was like one of those wild onions, you could see part of the white bulb sticking out of the substrate. I thought this was really bizarre. What's up with this? Can you really keep an onion as an aquatic plant?
Googled up some info for you. I knew only one thing about the plant and that it was a member of the lily family and very good for a "tough plant" tank. I hope this link will help you.
Interesting... Thanks herefishy! Makes sense that the fish wouldn't like the taste of onion, lol.
i used to have one, they do look really nice in the tank .... but my applesnails fancyed a taste and ate it :(
