Algae Eaters, bought 2, 1 died next day? QUESTON

Well, i've got a 60g tank, good lighting, and I have a goldfish in there, hes about 2 inches long now, have had him in there for about a month and a half, so i decide, let's buy him some friends! Bought 2 algae eaters, that was yesterday. So, today, my roomate is in the living room watching t.v, the aquarium to the right, and he notices, the algae eater, starts swimming upside down, and then flips over, and appears to have died. So, I get my net, go to grab him, and he skurries off very quickly. So, i wait a couple minutes, he is still upside down by the way, and, this time, no movement at all =(. upset that I bought him yesterday, and died today.

Also, the other one, to my fear, is beginning to change color, and I have read that is bad...

Any input would be great, thanks again

Are they small or large? What color are they, and what are their physical appearences?

Sounds like a pleco. Did he stay at the bottom most of the time, and did he have a larger dorsal fin (top fin)?

yes, it is a pleco!
