Paver playsand for substrate

I am getting ready to switch my 26gal over to sand substrate. In looking for the generic playsand at HD I found this 50 lb. All Purpose Play Sand-55141 at The Home Depot . Its a little more brown than the playsand (which I like) and doesn't seem anywhere as dusty as the playsand is. It also looks to be a more consistent shape than playsand. Anyone ever try it?

Apparently, play sand products can be different according to where you live. I use Quikrete Play Sand and it is very uniform in size and color. Others on this forum say that their Quikrete Play Sand has tan, black, brown, and beige grains. In my area, the Pavestone Play Sand has the multicolored grains.

Is it 'paver' sand or 'playsand'? Check the label as some paver sands have an additive to bind the sand and the paver stones better.
Be sure you wash/rinse really well to remove the fines (dust like particles of sand) - a 5g bucket outside with a hose works best - a few handfuls at a time.

No it's definately just play sand. I did a small batch before hand to make sure it wasn't like the stuff we used on my parents patio. It looks nice rinsed, its ready to go, just haven't had the time to do the change over :-(
