wc..adding fish..finished cycle
if i do my water change now..how long till i need to add my fish...knowing i dont need to add my ammonia anymore,i use prime as my water conditioner..do i need to add anything eles beside prime
I will assume you have had ammonia and then nitrite spike and both fall back to zero, and nitrates are now showing up. If this is correct, then you can add a few small fish. I don't know the tank size, or the intended fish, but go slow with a few at first, and they should be the more resilient of the intended species. Might have more to say if you tell us the tank size and intended fish.
Use Prime with each water change. Monitor ammonia and n itrite after adding the fish. If either rises, do a partial water change with Prime.
Live plants avoid all this problem, by the way, even something simple like some floating plants. Plants need nitrogen and get it from ammonia/ammonium.
