no honestly your better off doin weekly water changes or spendin more money on sumthing else. maybe a prizm skimmer or if you dont mind spending a little more money maybe buy the bak pak skimmer. i knoe my lfs uses these on all the tanks they have a hob skimmer

the prizm skimmer is only about 20-30 dollars more. i havent used it personally but i have not heard anything bad about it. if anyone knoes anything other feel free to correct me

to be honest in this hobby cheap isnt good. you may be able to try Ebay or craiglist for a used skimmer for a good price. if not you may want to just do weekly waterchanges but with this the price of the salt will add up to the price of a decent skimmer.
