my java fern is sending out baby plants and they are getting caught in the filter. any ideas on what to do with them. i dont have anything to attach them too. they are about half an inch. i moved one to a big tank and inserted into some java moss. is this a good idea.
Eventually, the plant root's will attach to the rock or wood and thread/fishing line can be removed.
You can wedge it in the moss, I've done the same thing.

Agreed, I do not think that there are very serious so you can pitching wedge it in the moss. Anyway, I would like to tell that Java Fern is one of a few highly sought after fish tank plants.
well ive got four little ones that are about a half inch with about a half inch of roots. ive stuck them deep in the java moss. hopefully they will take and i can attach them to my driftwood. ill keep you updated on the growth.
