What is this?

I found a worm like thing come out of a rock. It is pink on each end and brownish purple in the middle and has little spiney things down both sides. Anyone know what it might be and is it ok to be in there?

Bristleworm
Bristle Worms are kinda like your CUC also, and abundance of them means your overfeeding the tank. They will keep your sand bed and rocks cleaned up, as far as detrius goes. Really big ones are a concern, but they are not usually a problem at all.
