Weird underwater mold?
Ok, I just set up this tank, let it cycle and put in 4 dwarf gourami a few days ago.
When I turned on the light, I noticed these!
What in the world are they?
They look like underwater mold, and they're only growing on the plastic sealing on the tank!
I have no idea where they came from because I just set the tank up.
Does anyone have an idea of what they are?
I haven't tried to clean them off yet because I don't want all of it to get in the water.
Did you put plants in the tank? If you did, perhaps they are snail eggs.
Almost looks like duckweed, but It doesn't make sense that it would attach like that. Brush it off of there. I don't like it ;-)
yes! I did put plants in, and I did notice a terrible snail in my 55 gallon, which holds the plants now, but took it out.
They don't look like eggs though. They arent spears.. how do you say that?
Ok well they're flat against the rubber. and only on the rubber
Did your mold looking things do anything else? Did they grow? I am curious to know what it is.
eh well there are more spots of it than before!! but its no where else except on the plastic, which is weird. like its annoying
