Pic of 2 month old planted tank
My last tank was a saltwater reef tank about 10 years ago...I decided to get back into the hobby. Never tried live plants before so I figured I would give it a shot. I am extremly nervous about the eventual growth of algae :-(
Nice job  I love the piece of wood in your tank too. As for the plants, it's all about the right balance of light and nutrients. It might take a while to find that balance (at least it did for me).
Good luck and welcome to the forum.
Very nice, The driftwood looks great. A little advice...pull your plants up a little so that the sand is just below the crown (where all the stems meet). Some plants' leaves will rot if they are planted too deeply.
Thanks for the responses....I will definately pull the plants up a little bit.
Looks nice! What are the small fish in there?
The small fish in the picture are Lyretail guppies.....they have already doubled their size since I set the tank up lol. Here is a blurry pic.
