Update on my tanks! Thanks to all of you!
Its been a while since I've posted anything, just been reading all the other posts that everyone's been making.
Just wanted to update on my tanks (no pics right now haven't felt like taking any pictures. Lazy...)
My 50 gallon is thriving, I haven't lost any fish in there for months and things have been running smoothly. I've been getting compliments from friends and family about how awesome the tanks are looking.
My 29 gallon is also doing great, I moved my fiancee's female betta sorority to that tank from my 50 gallon to make room for some tetra. They got along great for a good while, but I lost one a few days ago. Other then that my platy are still birthing them out, but the betta keep the numbers under control.
My 10 gallon guppy tank is doing well too, I lost one guppy this week; she seemed to have given birth and died while doing it. Have about 4 healthy guppy babies swimming around and some juveniles from the 1st bunch all taking shelter in floating Water Sprite.
My recently empty fry tank for my platy now has a new tenant. I beautiful halfmoon double tail betta who caught my eye at Petco.
Before i forget, the plants... oh the plants! So large and in charge. I love it!
Couldn't have gotten this far without all of you and your advice! Thanks so much. I shall take pictures soon!
Love to see pics!
Glad to hear.
Glad to hear things are going well... this site is great, but like the news on TV, most often we just hear of troubles. Fish keeping is a great hobby and fish tanks are a window into a different world. It's especially rewarding when the fish are very happy and visitors comment on how good it looks.
So keep doing what your doing and reap the rewards of successful fish keeping!
Yay! :redyay: I love to hear when things work out so well for people. Like AD said, we get to hear a lot more of the other side of things.
Looking forward to pics.
First is my 50 gallon. Each of my tanks have black rocks added to them that I found at Petsmart, plus the 50 gallon has that little rock cave, that my Cory love!
This is my 10 gallon guppy tank, I removed a small sword from it and move it to my 29 gallon and also trimmed my water sprite and left it floating.
Last but not least is my 29 gallon, the rocks are spread out here and I have three amazon swords growing out, I move in a month which allows me to set up my second 50 gallon where those three are going to be moved.
Good news and nice tanks ! I put blue gouramis in my 55 to control the platy population explosion and no go. My platy fry must have a bad taste or something. I love the little guys, but they are running me out of tank space !
