found new plastic pond... any tips? please?
i found this and dont really know how to set it in the ground properly without putting too much stress on it...
also, if anybody knows what pond this is how any info about it, please comment
There's not really much of a trick to it, just a lot of digging! The easiest way is to dig the hole too large so the entire liner sits in the hole. Then, place dirt in around the liner, working from next to the liner out to the edge of the hole (backfill). Depending on your soil type, it can be easy or difficult. Sandy soil, really easy, clay soil, you may want to backfill using sand. Try not to use backfill with any small rocks. They can make a hole over time in the liner. The liner will flex some, minor settling isn't an issue, you just don't want big gaps directly underneath. You can wet the backfill to help it settle better.
Try to level the bottom of the hole as much as possible. Again, sand can be helpful for this.
Looks like a pond liner from Lowes or Home Depot.
Aww... I live in ga, which is famous for its red clay, there's about 1/4" of soil, then solid clay.

Your other option is to build a block wall, line with landscape clothe, add the pond and then bac kfill with dirt or sand. I've done this and it works well. I no longer have it, I tore it down and put in a 350 gallon pond with waterfall and mini stream where it used to be. Good luck!
hmm.... i didnt think of this before... i have no place to put it...
