I am planning on getting some angelfish for my brother's 55 gal. tank, have a few ?'s
Ok, so we've kept angelfish before, but it's been a while. I'm wondering if I could keep four to five angels in a 55 long tank? Also would they do well with a few swordtails/platys? Other then that I know everything else I'll need to know(went to library and got a bunch of books on angels and other aquarium fish). :-Dthanks, Lillianfish.
55 gallon aquarium stocking question
SO, I have like ten platys/swordtails in it, a few bottomfeeders, and one guppy. I plan on getting a few angels, wondering what tankmates are compatable?
A group of 5 angelfish would be fine in a 4-foot 55g tank. I would not put livebearers in with them, especially swordtails which can get too boistrous for the sedate angelfish, and larger than many realize 9assuming they are healthy). As for other info, our profile on the angelfish [Pterophyllum scalare] is very comprehensive; click the shaded name.
Tankmates for angelfish have to be carefuly thought out. Our profile explains this more.
ok, that's fine with the swordtails, I was planning on giving them to my petstore as that will give me credits there. Thanks Byron!
