Not something you see every day fishing.

Good of the pilot to yell out the window to tell me to duck as he landed!

It was dropping someone off for the local yacht club labor day Regatta.

I work on a fishing boat - last week a couple of military choppers drop off civilians to the coast guard station, which was very close to where we were fishing. The people on the chopper were waving to my guests on the boat.

Wow? Dropping someone off at the yacht club? What is he so rich that cars aren't enough anymore?

I have a rather funny incident with a helicopter. I attended a university with a rather large and prominent cadet corps. My freshman year I was walking down a large hill with a view of the drillfield (large expanse of grass that was once and still is used for the corps to march). I see a large black helicopter circle the drillfield and then land! In the middle of my college campus. It was dropping off some prominent miltary figure to give a speech and he decided it would be more fun to land on the drillfield than in the campus airport. Needless to say, there were a few campus officials who weren't happy about that as well as some students who were walking across the drillfield. And there is even video of it.

Skip forward about a minute in to see it land.

crazy
the only helicopter landing experience i really have is one year in high school, they did this drunk driving awareness thing, and had this scene where there was a huge car crash, and somehow they got an actual helicopter to ~airlift~ the person who had been in the ~accident~

it was pretty cool. can't help but think the helicopter would probably have been better used elsewhere though lol
