strange crab

I have a crab in my tank that I would appreciate your help in idenifying. I know that it may be hard without a picture... but, the picture that I have been able to get are terrible.... those that know their crabs might be helpful... It looks like the Gorilla crab which is worrying me... are their any other crabs that are similiar to this crab??
This crab has hair on its legs and the front pinchers are black tipped and white legs. it has a black underneath. VERY UGLY and CREAPY
Thanks
Kristi

Based on your description, It really does sound like a Gorilla Crab. I'd get it out of the display until you get a confirmed ID. If you have a sump with a fuge, you can keep it in there until its been identified.

I'm fairly new to all this and I really don't know what I have but, it wasn't cheap.... we have the aquarium below with trees.
I'm not even sure to catch this thing any suggestions.?

wow here it is.
what do you think?

Well, The general appearance, from what I can tell, Definitely points to the Gorilla Crab. I am struggling with one thing however, and that is the shape of the claws. Note the "Spoon" type tips to the claws. This is indicative of a crab that feeds primarily on algaes. Though in the picture, it is a bit difficult to discern, I don't see the serrated pincers that are a general sign of a predatory crab.

Still, I recommend removal and isolation, at least until a confirmed ID is made.

Additional pics would be a great help as well.
