co2 systems I have a couple of questions on using Co2 systems. Once i purchase a Co2 system, where do you guy's refill your C02 bottles? And how does it cost? and lastly about how long does a bottle of Co2 last? Thanks much gary |
Welding or gas supply stores will refill CO2 tanks, or at least swap tanks. Typically you buy a tank either empty or full online, from the store, or second hand. When you get it 'refilled' they will charge you for just the cost of gas. However they usually just swap your tank for a already full one since few stores have the ability to refill on the spot. Your ownership applies to whatever tank you currently have and when ever you swap an empty tank for a full one the ownership transfers. The cost of refills varies depending on tank size. I use a #5 tank which costs $18-20 to refill and lasts 3-4 months feeding a 75gallon. Posted via Mobile Device |

CO2 kits rarely come with a tank. any system with a standard regulator will work. As far as the sump it depends on the design. CO2 is very easily driven out of the water by agitation. So things like over flows can really effect co2 if they cause a lot of agitation. Posted via Mobile Device |
