dechlorination, before or at same time?
I've done the the third partial water change on my tank; the first with the vacuum system; it was not bad, just need a bit more skill, I reached the 30% level mark faster than I thought.
I added the dechlorinator ( Tetra Aquasafe Plus ) while filled up the tank with the vaccum system, I mean; the tap water got and the dechlorinator at same time, it was ok? or I must do it before add the water to the tank?
Many of the folks here have reported adding the 'appropriate amount' of dechlorination conditioner, then fill with water. Some add an amount that covers the entire tank volume, others just add the amount to cover the new water being added.
Today's dechlorination products work pretty much instantly.
Has been two hours since I made the water change, and all the fish (27) are doing well; I mean They're not doing nothing strange.
Wow ! I just back home after three days out of the town, the water it's 99% clear, and all the boys/girls are in good shape, even think the Danios are bigger than three days ago !!
I must confess, missed them.
