Is there a purpose to do doing water changes if the perameters arent out of wack? I still do it no worries, but was curious as to its purpose...just to keep the water "fresh" ?
The filter can't keep the same water clean forever. Debris still builds up in the substrate and the water still eventually gets dirty. The filter just makes your job of keeping the tank clean easier.
Random answer: Would you like living in your own waste? Figured not. That is the reason for water changes.
thanks zule :)
