Transporting fish for short distances

I'm going to a friend's house tomorrow with some plants for his new tank. I will also be bringing a single tiger endler for his tank. How so I should I go about transporting it? I have some bags that fish stores use to bag fish, could I use those? The ride is about 20 minutes long.

Yup 20 minutes isn't long enough to need any special treatment, if you have a water conditioner like your lfs probably uses put a squirt in the bag to keep the little guy from stressing

bucket + water + top. That is all you need, u should also put the plants in with the fish so that is has a place to hide.
