Nano Cube Experiance?

Hey Everyone, I was thinking getting a 12 gallon Nano Cube with a standard hood. This would just be a Fish Only Tank, as I would like to start my saltwater adventure with something quite simple. Im not too crazy about huge amounts of fish so if only like 1 could fit in there I would be fine with it. I would just like to know if anyone has any experiance with something like this. Could I get like a firefish and a few invertabrates? I would probally just have fake live rock and get live sand. I guess im just looking for a few pointers. Thanks everyone.

If you're starting small to keep costs down or because you have no room, that's understandable, but if it's because you think it will be easier then you're in for a surprise and maybe should reconsider. A smaller tank is much more difficult to keep stable because such small changes affect the tank. There's usually not as high of a culture to waste ratio, so waste aren't broken down as quickly, and they are stuck in a small volume, both of which drive up their concentration. It will require more frequent water changes (granted they won't be as extensive) and will need to be more closely monitored than larger tanks. That being said, I'm actually getting one that same size, but I'm making it a reef tank (which means even more work). I started a question called "new 10 gallon reef tank" to learn about it, and got some great advice from one member who is very knowledgeable. You should look it over and see what she said to me.
