eaturbyfill's Progress Thread and Stocking Questions
Hello, instead of posting several threads about different tanks, I have decided to make a single thread containing my future tank plans, pictures, progress updates, and questions about my tanks and future tanks.
What I Have Now:
10g Divided Betta Tank
55g Goldfish Tank (temporary)
3g Half Moon Betta Tank
15g Community Tank
10g Species Tank
200g+ Common Goldfish Pond
55g Community Tank
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you can give me your advice and criticisms!
For my 15g community, I plan on Harlequin Rasboras, Pygmy Corys, and a single Honey Gourami or a Female Betta (if this is possible). We will be ordering the stuff for it next week! I plan on using sand for the substrate, because of the Corys.
For the 10g species-only, I am not quite sure what to do. I wanted to have a tank of male Fancy Guppies, but I heard they prefer hard water-- mine is soft. Would GloFish work for this tank? If not, a small species of tetra, perhaps? How many fishies?
The 15 gallon sounds great. i love the fish going in there. i would choose the gourmi. they are less stressed and love 15 gallons. for the 10 gallon i would put a combo of diffrent danios. i love zebra danios. but you could choose longfins, leopards, even pearls. they are all cool danio species. keep up the tanks and cant wait for that 200 gallon.:-D
I won't do glofish/zebra danios in a ten gallon. They are too active and need swimming room. What about something nano sized? Chili rasboras, dwarf rasboras, strawberry rasboras, ember tetras, sparkling gouramis, pygmy sunfish, etc would all work no problems for a species tank that size.
