Panda Garra question

Hi Everyone!

I have two Panda Garra. I was wondering if anyone knows how to sex them? Thank you, Kathy

This is what I found:

Sexually mature males develop a series of noticeable tubercules on the head, along the lateral line and around the caudal peduncle, and tend to be slimmer in the body than females.

The article is here, its pretty informative.

If I only knew what a tubercule and caudal penducle was. LOL!

Turbercules are "breeding bumps" for lack of better word. This image of a central stoneroller points out the breeding turbercules. It's very common for members of the family cyprinidae to get them around breeding time. It's when goldfish are easiest to sex.

The caudal peduncle is the muscle that connects the tail fin to the body.

Yay fish anatomy!
