Rams?

I recently aquired two 20 gallon long tanks..........one will be used as a hosp/quarantine tank and im trying to figure out what to stock in the other one..........
I was thinking maybe Blue Rams or Bolivian Rams.............i've been trying to read up and it seems the Blue Rams can be difficult to keep for a begginer........ive read that the Bolivian's can be a little easier...........what do you think i should do?
If i decide to go with one of the rams how many should i get? what else can be kept with them? and how should i set up the tank (im also thinking of trying my hand at a planted tank)?
i am also open to any other interesting stocking suggestions..........

Thanks........
Robb

Blue rams > Bolivian rams

Both can be kept in a community without problems except when spawning. I'd consider a male blue ram and two females. I prefer blue rams but that's my opinion.

No need to do anything with your water. Buy from your local breeders and check sources. Rams from Asian fish farms are usually extremely weak due to hormones added in their foods.

As I mentioned earlier, they are absolutely fine in a community tank. You are open to several options such as tetras, plecos, cories, rasboras, gouramis, etc.

It seems you have another thread where you asked a similar question. I will close this one to prevent any confusion and will link this thread to your first thread where people can follow through all the responses.:)
