Dalmation Lyretail Molly, male or female?

I need a hand in telling if my Dalmation Lyretail Molly is male or female. I initially had a buddy for him, but it died shortly after purchase. I am planning to get a bigger tank soon so I can breed them, but I can't tell them apart! The two I had looked quite different from the other in shape, but the shop owner couldn't tell me if one was male or female, or if they were the same. I have read how to tell the difference, but I still can't tell. Some look like they have a fan shaped fin, but it's...well, I'd say it's more like the top of a heart. And a lot of times they're actually holding their fins to their belly so I can't see them anyways. I do NOT want to end up getting a bunch of males and one female because I can't tell the difference. ^^; That would be absolutely awful.

Thank you for the help!

This is the one I still have and need to know if it's male or female.

This is the one that died, if it is of a different gender, that will help me to know as well.

According to the first photo, it looks like a female.

I first is a female because of its sail like fins on the bottom and the second is a male.
