Help! Guppy Tail Bitten to the bone!
I purchased guppies a couple of days ago and 2 days later I found that one of my guppy's is tail bitten right to the bone... I removed the culprit (Tetra) and moved him into a breeder box. He seems to be doing fine and is very energetic but lost all of his color. He use to be red but now has turned a pale blueish color.

Just wondering what are the chances of his tail growing back and what I should do to increase the chances of it living.

Thanks in advance

Top quality water and and Melafix or something similar should do the trick as long as the guppy is still eating and breathing normally. Is there any way you can set up a hospital tank for the treatment of sick or injured fish? Maybe a seperate 10 gallon that is kept cycled.

It should grow back provided it isn't damaged past the peduncle, the base of the tail. As f4a stated, MelaFix is a fine natural herbal remedy. Just follow directions.

Mela fix will quicken the proces but other than that it will grow back by itself but it will take longer.
