Scissortail rasboras in long ~8gal?
 

I am considering moving four scissortail rasboras into a tank with dimensions 24" long x 8" wide x 10" high (so an actual water volume of a little under 8 gallons). They're definitely getting a little big for their current environment (a 5.5gal), so the question at this point is whether they'll be OK in the larger tank or if I should try to re-home them.

They're about 1.75" nose-to-tail at the moment. I do realize that they can get bigger, so my question mostly concerns whether they'd be okay *for the time being*.

Thoughts?

Aren't they supposed to grow to 4-6 inches? Unless you see yourself getting a 55 gallon tank in the near future, I would re home them.

The 8 gallon is better for them then the 5.5 but still no where near enough, like jay said unless you plan on upgrading very soon your better off rehoming them before they end up stunted
