Well she convinced me.
Well ive had my mbuna tank going now for quite sometime with almost no problems. But the wife really wants a parrot fish so we got a 3rd 55gal tank getting it ready now as for tankmates any come to yalls minds? I know maybe convicts. Also seperate question but my friend couldnt care for his tank so i took it off his hands for him another 55gal lol.. It has three 1-1/2" peacocks in it an thats all any suggestions for that tank? There cool fish but im more of a mbuna person an i know they cant be housed together correct? Sorry for so many questions

Danios, Barbs, Cory cats, silver dollars and other South American cichlids are good tank mates for the blood parrot...NOT an Oscar though, they can kill them. Convicts are very hit and miss with them as they can crossbreed.

More Peacocks for the 55g with peacocks in. There is not enough room for any of the large haplochromines. Red fin Borelyi will work.

No peacocks cannot be kept with mbuna as the mbuna stress them out being more active than the docile peacocks.

Be careful when choosing a blood parrot. The ones with the really squished faces can have trouble eating so you'd want to avoid that in a community.

Yeah weve notice some parrots look a little off at the LFS around here we have found some nice ones actually at petsmart.

Yea, my petsmart has the nicest ones too, what a coincidence. Actually a lot of the fish at my petsmart are healthier looking than at other fish shops. There's one that's been at my LFS for months that's missing an eye with a horrible face.
Just watch the mouth. You want it to look normal. I think the problem with some of them is they can't close their mouths, which makes eating hard, not sure about that though.
