My new fish

Ok so i just purchased the last couple of fish i will put in my tank I know my tank is sorta overstocked but the fish are very compatable and i have drifwood and plants in the tank
So here are my fish-tell me what you think
3 neon tetras
1 male fancy guppy
1 female fancy guppy
1 glass catfish
1corry catfish
1 snail
The tank is a 4 weeks old 5 gallon minibow runnin a millenium 1000 power filter and a in tank spong filter

keep a close check on the guppy population. definately do-able but don't slack on maintenance.

Are you saying my guppies will mate?-If they do mate then i will take the babys out and sell them for like a quarter to a freind of mine.
Also i do not slack on maintainece i actualy sorta enjoy it :D

guppies give live birth and spawn like rabbits. as long as you maintain it well you should hopefully do alright.

Yeah you should be okay, especially if you're giving the fry to a friend. Guppies do breed constantly, but since you only have 1 female the cycles will be far enough apart to not be a huge problem, so long as you're factoring in the constant breeding. I enjoy watching my guppy fry grow, I'm about 2 weeks away from being able to put them in a community tank safely!

Sounds like you have an awesome tank though, if you have a digital camera be sure to post a pic!

Glass catfish will need to be kept in shoals, not singly or in pairs. To keep them singly is impractical.http://www.smilies.our-local.co.uk/i...iles/shake.gif
They will easily pine away and therefore, will not last long.
Add your neons by 6. 3 is not enough IMO.
