lighting question

so I need some help with my lighting situation. I've got my tank ready to set up tm (will be doing a build up thread for the next couple months.) its a 38g 36"/36"/12" now I was originally planning on using the watts per gallon rule but the more I read about t5 systems it seems that you dont need to? because it puts out more lumens per watt. so my question is, will I be good with a 4 bulb system on my tank? forgive the newb question but I'm new to keeping corals, i just dont wanna kill a bunch before I get it right.

Yup, you'll be fine with a 36" 4 lamp T-5 HO unit.
