New 125 Gallon Tank

I just purchased a new 125 gallon tank & stand yesterday. Installed it all last night.

I checked it out this morning everything is awesome. I do have one concern though. The back of the fish tank isn't sitting on the stand like the rest of the tank. There are only a few points where it sits on the wood (the verticals) Should I worry about this?

You should probably shim up the bottom of the stand so that the tank is fully resting on it. The added strain from not sitting evenly on the stand could cause a seal to rip.

Definitely shim up the tank. The condition you now have will have catastophic result, seam failure or glass panel breakage. Either way, You'be stuck with a useless 125g tank. Remove all water immediately. Check the stand to make sure that it is level all along the supporting edges. The tank should also be level when placed on the stand. I understand your eagerness to get things up and running, but do it right the first time. Remember the key word in this hobby is patience.

The stand is level..

The tank is supported on three sides all the way. The back just doesn't have a board all the way across.

The only boards that are int he right spot are the vertical risers. one on each end and oen slightly off center.

I called the dealer and he said that would be alright.

Here is a picture of the a corner in the back.

Thank tank is sitting as far forward in the frame as it can go.

And a picture of the tank.

All of my large tanks (70g and larger) are supported along the whole perimeter. Even the smaller tanks are after I've looked at them. Is the dealer going to replace the tank when it breaks? Will he come over and help clean up th mess? If so, I want to start shopping at his shop.

Turns out my stand is made by (All Gass, Inc.).. The store just refinished it.
My tank is made by (All Gass, Inc.).

(All Gass, Inc.)warrants the tank from leaks when it it on the stand.

Most of the weight from the tank is in the corners.

So this stand is fine. I'm sure (All Gass, Inc.) wouldn't make a tank & stand that didn't work together.
