Really - why now!
When changing the water in 3 tanks, why does this have to happen!
Mine did the same thing 6 months ago -_- I've been dragging the garden hose inside for changes
Grrrr!!! That sucks. I feel your pain every week. I still have to do the gallon at a time every Sunday because we don't have adaptable faucets :( I make at least 30-35 trips to the sink with gallon jugs.
You would think they would actually make the part that connects to the faucet a little more sturdy, seen you cannot use the thing when it breaks like that!
It took forever to do the 70% change in the 75g tank, arms are killing me. The rest can wait until hopefully the epoxy glue holds or I get another one.
I've seen replacement adapters online but I haven't gotten around to replacing mine
My LFS has them but wont be able to get one until the weekend as am very busy with work.
Will tackle the 55g and 40g tomorrow once my arms return to normal.
Oh wow that sucks :C
Mmmm... I believe this falls into the category of Murphy's Law! Murphy was a jerk. Hopefully you've got everything all fixed up and running again by now, though!
I've owned my python since 1994 and luckily have only had to replace that piece once. Maybe we should all buy ourselves a spare instead of pretending it won't ever happen. Usually, such "disasters" occur when there are no options. Like when you're in the middle of a water change on Christmas morning or something when normal people (including aquarium store owners) are all in bed.
Heh. It's sooooo true!
I don't have a Python - really no need to (yet) since my biggest tank is only a 29, but they sure do look AWESOME (um, when they aren't broken!). SOMEDAY. . . someday I will need one. That will be a happy day for me, I think :) Since 1994 is a really good track record - must be a very good quality product!
